With the COVID-19 pandemic limiting international travel, this year’s Medical Taiwan exhibition has had to go virtual. But despite the challenge of reformatting the show for the times, organizers are still expecting a success.
The 2020 edition of Medical Taiwan was originally scheduled for June, before being moved to mid-October due to COVID-19. Now, in the final month before the show takes place, 200 exhibitors have lined up to showcase more than 700 medical products to a global audience. Notably, this year’s show will include a special feature on Taiwanese surgical masks.
Though this year’s exhibition has had to be scaled-back due to the pandemic, live streaming from the expo site, virtual booths, and the chance for online business negotiations mean that the pandemic won’t get in the way of international business opportunities.
So far, 1,500 overseas buyers have signed up to take part.
