Philippines and Friends is a 20 minute program broadcast daily for our hard working friends at sea. The program contains a report on a couple of latest news stories from the Philippines, some songs from Taiwan, a talk about Taiwan’s culture or health issues and a coverage on recent news from Taiwan as well.

Host
Shirley was born in Taiwan. She grew up in Hong Kong, Japan and the United States and graduated from Wellesley College, Ma, USA, with a double major in Economics and Math. Shirley is currently a program host/news anchor for the English Service at Radio Taiwan International. Shirley is also the English instructor for Taiwanese airline company, EVA Air. She has been the host for “Philippines and Friends” in 2018 and 2019.
